Argentina
If there’s one country that ticks just about every box, it’s probably Argentina!
A huge South American nation, Argentina stretches from the dry mountains province of Salta in the north, right back to the frozen wintery lands of Patagonia in the south.
In between you have the epic wonder that is Iguazu Falls, the throbbing capital and cultural bemouth of Buenos Aires, the stunning wine region of Mendoza and the amazing lakes of Bariloche.
As I said, it’s pretty much got it all!
And that’s not to mention the amazing food and dancing this country is famous for, it’s vibrant Latin culture, the incredible wildlife you can see here and, of course, in the insanely dramatic landscapes.
Without a doubt, one of my favourite destinations in the region, Argentina really needs a few months to explore in its totality.
If you only have a few weeks therefore, my advice is to stick to one of these 3 itineraries…
Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Cordoba and Salta
Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Bariloche
Buenos Aires and Patagonia
Best visited in the southern hemisphere’s summer (November through March), Argentina is certainly a country you can return to again and again.
Check out these articles I’ve written about my travels there to ensure you’re prepared for a South American trip to remember….
