Czechia
If you thought Czechia (or the Czech Republic as it’s formerly known) was just about Prague, then it’s time to think again!
For while this Medieval ancient city is certainly a marvel, there’s so much more around this country to explore too.
From national parks to historic castles, vineyards to beer trails, Czechia is far more diverse than many people realise.. and I’m lucky enough to have seen a great deal of it.
Highlights for me included the stunning Bohemian Switzerland National Park in the west, the historic city of Brno in the south and the amazing industrial heartland of Ostrava in the east.
If this is your first trip to the country, why not combine one or more of these destinations with a few days in historic Prague?
A truly incredible European capital, from the iconic Charles Bridge to the beautiful Prague Castle, this ancient city centre with its famous Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square definitely deserves at least 2 days of your time.
One of the most affordable countries in Europe, you’ll probably be bowled away by how affordable Czechia is and, once outside the capital, how amazingly undiscovered much of it is too.
