- Room Style – Manorhouse
- WiFi – Yes
- Number of Stars – 5, AA Five Red Star (the only hotel in Jersey with this award)
- Facilities – Outdoor Pool, Gym, Spa, Tennis Court

At the top of the list for those wanting a luxury stay, there has to be only one choice on Jersey.
Alongside being the most prestigious and top awarded hotel on-island, Longueville Manor is more than just a place to stay – it is a truly memorable experience.
A converted manor house, offering fine cuisine delivered by an award winning Chef, a wine-cellar with 600 vintages and an on-site sommelier, this hotel oozes class without any element of pretention.
The cheese board is more of a trolley than a board, so cheese lovers, like me, are in for a really special treat, and even the gardens even boast an area where the Head Gardener grows multiple foods used in the sumptuous cuisine on offer.
A swimming pool, spa, and large grounds to roam, mean you’ll feel very relaxed and at home here at the Longueville; the sense you are staying in a grand house rather than a hotel.
A favourite by visitors and locals alike, this really is an extra special place to stay.

You can dine in the spacious restaurant, where the high quality cuisine showcases local foods including sea catches, or have a casual bite to eat al fresco by the outdoor pool during the summer months.
The bay itself offers golden sands, water sports, multiple dining spots and bars if you fancy a sunset cocktail to end the day.
It comes as no surprise that there’s a high number of return guests to the island that will only stay at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel.

Located in the heart of Jersey’s capital St Helier, The Royal Yacht has a contemporary vibe with all the features for those seeking a luxury stay on the island.
With a more of a lively energy, based on its central location, and attached bar and nightclub that gets busy with locals on the weekend, the Yacht (as it’s known in Jersey) still maintains all the features of a hotel with four restaurants, including a private cellar room where you can dine in privacy and sample the highest quality of wines for a more intimate experience.
Also on offer is an indoor vitality pool, sauna, jacuzzi and spa facilities, where thermal couches offer ‘experience’ showers for the ultimate zen experience!
The spacious rooms have a modern feel, with reverse air conditioning to keep you cosy across all 4 seasons

Staying in St Helier for the next hotel on offer, the Ommaroo is a family-run friendly spot on the doorstep of Harve des Pas beach.
Offering seaside views and the opportunity to swim in the nearby sea pool, which captures the high tide water twice daily, you can even enjoy a wild sea swim here when the tide is low!
I was immediately made to feel welcome when reviewing this hotel, not least thanks to the large outdoor garden (perfect for relaxing), outdoor heated pool and cosy bar area, complete with a seaside view.
A number of rooms are on offer at the Ommaroo, including balcony rooms with more seaside views, and family-friendly rooms with bunk-beds for the kids.
A favourite with visitors and locals alike, you will be on the outskirts of town if you stay here, meaning just a 10 minute walk to the centre of St Helier, or a short bus ride – with a stop conveniently directly opposite the hotel.

Jersey’s most expansive hotel, boasting a mighty 286 rooms, The Merton really is a great place to stay in Jersey.
On the outskirts of town, again within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of the centre, facilities here are plentiful.
From its multiple bars and restaurants, each with a different dining feel (from casual diner for a quick snack, to formal dinner restaurants), there’s also an events room at the Merton, where live music and shows are on offer to keep you entertained in the evening.
But the piece de resistance has to be the Aquadome.
Ideal for families, small children and big kids alike, whether it’s the large flume side or the Flowrider, where you can enjoy the simulation of surfing, the Merton Hotel is ideal for those who like entertainment-filled holidays!
Accommodation on offer includes all the usual room types, plus spacious, self-catering modern lets if that is more your thing.

#6 Beausite Hotel
Quick Facts
- Location – Grouville
- Room Style – Homely
- WiFi – Yes
- Number of Stars – 3
- Facilities – Indoor Pool, Sauna, Bar
- Parking – Yes
- Dining – Yes
For those who fancy staying further afield from the hustle-and-bustle of town, the Beausite Hotel is located just a short distance from the beautiful harbour area of Gorey in the east of Jersey.
With a more classic, rather than contemporary style, The Beausite nevertheless boasts a small indoor pool and sauna for relaxation.
Rooms at the Beausite are basic in style, but this is still a comfortable place to stay and great for those on a reasonable budget.
A restaurant with local seafood on the menu, and quaint little bar area are available for guests.
You can also head to nearby Gorey Village for more dining options – its sandy beach and quaint harbour views are just a short-bus ride, or 15 minute walk, away.
Make the journey and you’ll be rewarded with the amazing sight of Mont Orgueil Castle – a medieval fortification built in the 13th century to protect the island from French invasion.
Ideal for history lovers, Gorey also boasts coffee shops and the characteristic Dolphin pub – a favourite amongst locals in the area.

Located in a peaceful, rural setting, this delightful cottage sleeps up to 6.
I was met by the friendly owner of the property, who lives on-site and made me feel incredibly welcome immediately – the bottle of bubbles and box of chocolates certainly helped!
Attention to detail at L’Abri Marie shows instantly, with an owner who truly cares about the quality of your stay.
A converted barn with 2 rooms, each with a super-king or triple twins, and large open lounge area, this spot has the true feel of a high quality homestay.
Within a short-walk there are multiple amenities too, including a farm shop, prime butchers and a cosy cafe called the Potato Shack – ideal for a tasteful breakfast or lazy brunch.
Only you, or visiting as a couple? Then I’d recommend next door at La Cachette Rose as a 2 person cottage with the same level of style and feel.

Unique Stays in Jersey
#9 Archirondel Tower
Quick Facts
- Location – St Martin
- Room Style – Modern within Historic Tower Walls
- WiFi – Yes
- Facilities – Kitchen / Cooking Amenities
- Parking – Yes
First on my list of unique places to stay in Jersey is Archirondel Tower, La Tou d’L’Archithondé in our native tongue Jèrrias, or simply Archie to the locals!
Built in the 18th century to protect Jersey from French invasion, then modified by the Germans in WWII to protect against English invasion, you will be staying in an iconic historic tower here overlooking the tranquil bay of Archirondel.
Sleeping up to 4, with the tower split over 3 levels, this spot has a truly unique feel, with a pleasant contrast of a historical exterior and comfortable, modern interior.
Navigating the towers’ narrow spiral staircase, the ground floor consists of a kitchen with all amenities for a self stay, with bedrooms (double bed and 2 singles) found on the 1st and 2nd floors, and a cosy living room on the 3rd floor.
Take a quick peek out of an old canon turned German machine gun hole in the towers’ wall on the way up!
From the roof you will have a stunning view of Archirondel and the nearby St Catherine’s Breakwater.
The nearby Gorey village, with all local amenities necessary for your stay, is a short drive or bus ride away.
#10 La Crête Fort
Quick Facts
- Location – Trinity
- Parking – Yes
Following on from the 18th century and German Occupation theme, La Crête (built in 1834) is located on the rugged yet peaceful north coast of Jersey.
Sleeping here will mean you’re staying in the former summer residence of the Lieutenant-Govener of Jersey, the representative of the British Monarch living in on the island.
Sleeping up to 5 (with dogs allowed too), the Fort is split over 2 floors, with a slightly more basic interior and facilities compared with Archirondel Tower.
However, with an outside garden area and seating, you will be in a remote location and surrounded by stunning cliff path walks and ocean scenery – ideal for a sunny summer’s day with a BBQ on the terrace!
Visit neighbouring Bouley Bay or Bonne Nuit Bay, or get your hiking boots on and venture along the cliff paths with some of Jersey’s best walks leading straight from the front door.
Being so remote, a hire car is advised for this Jersey stay, as access via bus route is very limited.
#11 Barge Aground
Quick Facts
- Location: St Ouen
- Parking – Yes
Moving to the west of the Jersey, Barge Aground (or ‘Seagull’) was built in the 1930s and is the last of a row of follies (an aesthetic building constructed for generally no purpose!) that once lined St Ouen’s Bay.
Now a self-catered stay, sleeping 6 within a stylish 1930’s deco, it boasts a panoramic view of St Ouen’s Beach which is just a few steps away from your accommodation.
Enjoy the golden sand from the back door, watch the surfers, and take in the picturesque sunset whilst relaxing on the terrace glass of wine in hand!
With a cosy feel inside, 2 bedrooms with bunk beds and a double sofa bed, are all located all across one floor.
You will be spoilt for nearby dining options nearby, including El Tico, The Watersplash, Le Braye, Little Joe’s and Jersey Pearl to name a few, each with their own feel and dining experience.
#12 Kempt Tower
Quick Facts
- Location: St Ouen
- WiFi – Yes
- Parking – Yes
Situated just down the road from Barge Aground, this ‘Martello Tower’ – towers built during the 19th century to protect the British island of Jersey during the French Revolution – offers a much more spacious stay, sleeping up to 12 people.
Ideal for big family holidays or large group stays, it boasts an open plan living space, all modern conveniences and a fully equipped kitchen.
The sleeping arrangements are 4 double beds, with 4 single beds above each in bunk-bed style.
From the roof terrace, enjoy stunning 360 degree panoramic views of the bay and Jersey’s National Park.
Oh and just down the round is the famous waffle van offering up the most delicious indulgent waffles as a treat during your stay – very popular during the summer months in Jersey!
Camping in Jersey
#13 Rozel Camping Park
Quick Facts
- Location: St Martin
- Parking – Yes
A seasonal site, open between spring and autumn, Rozel Camping Park in Jersey has large fields equipped with all the facilities ideal for an outdoors stay.
With 2 large amenity blocks, an onsite store equipped with groceries, fresh produce, and beers and wines, you don’t have to move far if you prefer not to!
Enjoy the large outdoor heated-swimming pool, games room with pool table, and even a crazy golf course. Perfect for a family stay.
Nearby beaches to explore include the namesake Rozel, Archirondel, and Gorey.
#14 Beuvelande Campsite
Quick Facts
- Location: St Martin
- Parking – Yes
Built across a 10-acre grass facility, Beauvlande caters for all your camping needs, from standard pitching sites, to extra large sites, all the way through to the glamping village with safari tents.
If you fancy a night off from cooking on the BBQ, try the onsite Tilley’s Restaurant, which caters for all needs and is well priced.
Feeling glam?
The safari tents, starting at £125 per night, feature a comfy double bed and 2 single beds, ideal for families.
With your own garden, picnic bench and all cooking amenities, you will be in for a special treat here!
#15 Jersey Camper Van Hire
Fancy trying something a little bit different?
How about a converted 1967 VW ambulance-turned campervan?
For those preferring a highly unique experience, ‘VW Splitty’ sleeps 2 adults in a ‘rock and roll bed’, removable table (but the nurses seat will have to stay!), an old school radio with MP3 connection, and a cooker complete with a set of cutlery and crockery.
With a windscreen that lifts, allowing a fresh breeze to flow through during your travels, you can either choose it for day-hire, as a funky way to explore the island, or as a campervan to sleep in.
You are not legally allowed to camp on public land in Jersey, so your stay would be at one of the island’s 3 campsites, 2 of which are covered above, and the 3rd being The Palms.
Extras, such as awning and bedding, will need to be purchased if you wish to have a sleepover.
