Zimbabwe

From the mighty Victoria Falls to the peaceful Kariba Dam, the ancient Zimbabwe Ruins to rhino spotting in Matopos National Park, the country of Zimbabwe in southern Africa rarely receives the attention it deserves, at least not in the right way!

For years this country has sadly been dropping off the tourist radar due to security concerns, political unrest and economic instability, but if you do get the chance to visit Zimbabwe, you should!

One of the shining gems in this part of the world, filled with natural and cultural treasures, this is a rich land that is now pretty off the beaten track… and all the more amazing for it.

Along with Matopos, Hwange National Park and Mana Pools also boast incredible wildlife spotting opportunities and safaring here can be some of the cheapest in the region, not to mention spectacular.

Of course, Victoria Falls is the main crowd draw in this country, and rightly so! (it is a remarkable area filled with adventure activities and breath-taking photo opps), but if you also get the chance to explore Zimbabwe more broadly (and it’s safe to do so), then I highly recommend grabbing this experience with both hands!
