A totally underrated destination in southern Africa, Zambia dodges a lot of the big safari crowds and, as such, is a real hidden gem in this part of the continent.

The big draw is, of course, Victoria Falls, which marks the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Best visited in the wet season between October and April, this world famous spectacle is, however, pretty awe-inspiring at all times of the year.

From rafting to bungee jumping, Vic Falls is also the adventure capital of Zambia, so if you want to get your heart racing, this is certainly the place to do it!

Outside of this beautiful renowned spectacle, it’s the amazing South Luangwa National Park that I’d rate as another highlight.

Featuring the Big 5, and the first place I ever saw a leopard, there’s no question, this reserve is a totally off the beaten track treasure.
