This is one of the best sandy beaches on the island and popular with locals and visitors alike.

#7 Issos & Halikounas Beaches

#10 Porto Timoni Twin Beach
Porto Timoni is one of Corfu’s most photographed natural sights and for good reason.
This narrow strip of land near the village of Afionas separates two bays with crystal clear water on both sides, creating the famous twin beach effect.
The walk down to Porto Timoni is free and takes around 20 to 30 minutes from Afionas village.
The path is rocky in places, so sturdy shoes are recommended, especially in summer heat.
There are no facilities at the beach itself, which keeps it unspoilt but means you should bring water and snacks.
One of the best budget tips for visiting Porto Timoni is timing.
Arrive early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the busiest period and enjoy cooler temperatures.
Because there are no sunbeds or cafés, this is a place where you can easily spend nothing more than the cost of getting there.
